Upgrade to Impress
The TT-4 Special Edition builds upon the strong foundation of the original TT-4, offering all the same great features such as the built-in RIAA and ATS technology, but now enhanced with additional upgrades. A new rubber mat and a dampened platter create a nearly vibration-free platform, delivering higher clarity and reduced noise for improved musical performance.
Carbon Fiber Tonearm With an Exceptional Pickup
A tonearm must be extremely lightweight yet highly rigid. Carbon fiber excels in both aspects, making it an ideal material for tonearms-used for the first time in an Argon Audio turntable with the original TT-4. In this Special Edition, a superb Ortofon 2M Bronze pickup from Denmark is pre-fitted at the end of the arm. To ensure the 2M Bronze performs at its highest potential, internal wiring to the cartridge has been upgraded as well.
TT-4 Special Edition includes a built-in high-quality phono amplifier (MM). This allows direct compatibility with virtually any amplifier or active speaker system-no external phono stage required. The built-in amplification has been custom-engineered using premium components to outperform typical solutions available at this price point.
ATS – Anisotropic Torsion Stabilizer (Patent Pending)
Although technical, ATS technology delivers a very practical benefit. During development of the carbon fiber tonearm, internal resonances and distortions were detected-issues that could negatively affect stylus performance while tracking grooves. To counter this, a small, precise aperture is made along the underside of the tonearm. This modification does not impact weight or stiffness, but reduces torsional resistance, which in turn minimizes internal resonances before they reach the speakers. The result is exceptionally clean, detailed sound rarely found in turntables within this price category.
