Part of the company's legendary HD 600 Series of audiophile headphones, the Sennheiser HD620S Closed-Back Headphones cater to audio enthusiasts seeking distraction-free immersion without compromising on natural, spacious sound. The stainless-steel reinforced earcup covers not only add timeless appeal to the headphones, but they also provide a private listening session regardless of your surroundings. Sennheiser's reference-grade 1.65" angled transducers with 1.5" diaphragms and ultralight 150-ohm aluminum voice coils deliver exceptional impulse response, expanding the stereo image to an almost panoramic soundstage.
The HD 620S chassis is lightweight. The robust, steel-reinforced headband sliders and earcup covers add timeless appeal and long-term durability to a silhouette sculpted for all-day wearing comfort. Spacious earcup covers and the supple ear pads made from artificial leather not only offer superb acoustic isolation, but also add a comfortable touch thanks to internal venting.

Angled, well-engineered drivers
Sennheiser's dynamic drivers are made up of high-grade 38mm soft diaphragms, ultra-lightweight aluminum voice coils, and an advanced damping system. The steel frame protecting the drivers also acts as a baffle to curb internal reflections and unwanted resonances.
They've angled the 42mm drivers to control how the sound hits your ears, both with direction and timing. It spreads the soundstage well outside the head to the left and right. Within that wide presentation, there's strong separation, placement, and detail. Vocals typically occupy the center — more between the ears — while other instruments stretch from side-to-side, all the way to the extremes.
Sturdy design with a snug, nicely padded fit
The HD 620S headphones offer a snug, secure fit that keeps the drivers properly aligned with your ears. With the steel frame and robust plastic earcups, they feel heavier than other 600-series headphones. But I found the weight was distributed well. And the generous padding — especially where the headband met the crown of my head — kept them from causing fatigue. For the ear pads, Sennheiser went with soft, synthetic leather instead of their traditional velour.
